Cards tab vs Comps tab, what's the difference?

Understand when to use Cards, Comps, and active marketplace results

Search results are split into different views because they answer different collector questions.

Cards tab

Use the Cards tab when you want to find a card in Cubbby's catalog.

The Cards tab is best for:

  • Adding a card to your inventory
  • Finding the correct year, set, card number, and player
  • Comparing similar catalog matches
  • Opening the card detail page for a specific card

Cards come from Cubbby's internal catalog. If a card is not in the catalog yet, it may not appear even if there are marketplace listings for it.

Comps tab

Use the Comps tab when you want market evidence for what a card is selling for.

The Comps tab is best for:

  • Reviewing completed sale prices
  • Comparing recent eBay results
  • Seeing active listings when you are researching supply
  • Understanding whether a card value looks reasonable

Comps can appear even when there is not an exact catalog card match yet, because marketplace titles are searched separately.

Which one should I trust?

Use Cards to identify the card. Use Comps to evaluate the market.

If the Cards tab shows one exact match and the Comps tab shows recent sold results for the same card, that is the strongest combination. If they disagree, open the card detail page and check the year, set, card number, variant, grade, and whether the comps are sold or active listings.
